For first-time canyoneers, this trip is a wonderful introduction to the Grandest.  Down South Kaibab and up Bright Angel, with a night at Phanton Ranch and a night at Indian Gardens.  Experience the quintessential granduer, geology and sweeping views of these wonderful South Rim routes on well-maintained trails, and enjoy campsites with restrooms and amentities.

Louis Boucher, better known as "The Hermit of the Grand Canyon", built this trail from his homestead in the late 1800's.  This trail offers tremendous scenery, an excellent trail, and is set slightly away from the bustle of the corridor trails.

Rim-to-Rim at Grand Canyon is consistently ranked as one of the top adventures in the Grand Canyon, the American Southwest, and the world.  This trip should be on every backpacker's list.  Sparkling pools, thundering falls, spectacular scenery, and geology very unique to the Canyon are just a small sampling of what this adventure has to offer.

North Rim Classics

Thunder River begins as a groundwater trickle on the Kaibab Plateau, then explodes forth as a thundering deluge from the sheer cliffs above this adventurous trail.  This trip will suit anyone looking for a classic North Rim adventure, and is great for geology wanderers looking to step up their Grand Canyon game.

This trail was used for thousands of years by the Ancestral Puebloans who inhabited this area, hunting, growing crops, and trading.  Ruins can be observed near the trail, as well as petroglyphs.  Nankoweap is a wonderful challenge, a geologic majesty, and a remote and wild adventure from the North Rim.

The Western Grand

Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument offers a decidedly different, but no less spectacular, and intensely adventurous Grand Canyon experience.  Kanab Creek is a spectacular tributary to the Colorado River, and has carved a colorful and whimsical route down through the soft sediments of the Colorado Plateau.

Tuckup Canyon is quite possibly the premier hike in the Grand Canyon.  Remote, wild, intensely scenic, and geologically astounding, one of the best parts of this adventure is that our group might have this area all to ourselves.  Recommended for serious backpackers and backcountry travelers only.
