Trip Description:

Death Valley is the largest National Park in the United States, and home to the lowest spot in North America in Badwater Basin, 282 feet below sea level.  The Furnace Creek Inn is its most sought-after lodging destination, and provides an excellent central location in the park to visit all of its wonderful and adventurous sights.  Though many people think of Death Valley as a hot, barren wasteland of desert, nothing could be further from the truth.  It is home to lush riparian areas, towering 11000 foot peaks, and awe-inspring vistas with complex and wild geology.  During your Furnace Creek Fancy adventure, you will have the opportunity to visit and be thrilled by the park's many features, including hikes into Surprise Falls and Marble Canyon, a trek to the highest peaks of the Panamint Range, dips into the luxurious Furnace Creek Hot Springs, a date with the rare Devil's Hole Pupfish, and tremendous photo ops at the Playa Racetrack, Artist's Drive, and Zabriskie Point, just to name a few.  Your geologist/guide will be with you every step of the way to present you with Death Valley's supreme geologic and cultural history, and tell you exactly what you are looking at and how it got to be that way though the eons.  Fancy!

There are frequent stream crossings as you make your way deeper and deeper into this stone labyrinth. Kick back and relax as your guide sets up camp and prepares a delicious dinner.
